- [Instructor] Last topic in this section I want to encourage you to automate whenever you can. We talked earlier about how implementing a CMS can make automation possible, but I think it's important to emphasize how valuable automation is. First of all, and most obviously, it's going to save time and effort. If routines are automated, you can reduce the lag time between steps of a process, by taking people out of the process. And it will reduce the workload of all the players, giving them time to spend on other tasks. The other point to mention though, is that machines don't make mistakes. If you set your workflow up right, it will be right every time. Human error no longer factors into the equation. Now, there is a caveat here. You have to get the workflow right. You have to be able to define exactly what the process steps are, including outliers, which means you really need to understand the process, the work…
