- [Instructor] If you asked end users what the most important SharePoint feature is, the majority will probably say search. There are some key differences between modern and classic SharePoint search that you need to be aware of as you plan your migration. With classic search, you have full control over the results and the UI with the ability to add refiners and custom display templates. Modern search on the other hand, uses the power of the Microsoft Graph. This enables you to have personalized results. So if two people search for the same thing, they'll get different results. There's no UI customizations or custom display templates in modern SharePoint search. The trade-off in classic is you don't have the power of the Office Graph.
