Policies around library structure

- [Instructor] Are you going to institute rules around the structure of document libraries? For instance, will you allow creation of folders and subfolders, or keep a flat structure and manage data through metadata and views? Will you control security access through multiple libraries, or user permission groups, or a combination of the two? These aren't exactly admin features, but I think the SharePoint admin should have a part in setting the ongoing policy, along with leadership, and the O 365 admin. Let's talk about architecture first. I'm a big fan of using flat structure libraries whenever possible. No folders. I've got into depth about this in some of my other courses, but in a nutshell, I think it's much better to organize documents via the use of smart metadata, user permission groups, and creation of views to expose specific data to specific audiences.
