Manage target audiences

- [Instructor] If you're not familiar with using Target Audiences, I'll give you a quick rundown. Within the SharePoint site, content and pages can be marked so that they're only visible to predefined groups of people. For example, you could use department as a defined audience and make the department newsletter page only visible to the people within that department. Now, audiences are different from permission groups. They act as an additional layer of target definition allowing you to be more exact in your distribution. In the SharePoint center classic view, you can create and edit target audiences that your users can then leverage for content distribution. Starting from the classic features page, open User profiles and then manage audiences in the People section. Now, we want to create a new audience so we'll click New Audience and then we need to a add a name and a description is not a bad idea. Then, we have to specify an owner.
