- [Instructor] I've mentioned hub sites a couple of times already, but I'd like to take a closer look at them. I think hub sites can be an important part of a modern SharePoint internet experience. The rough idea is that individual site collections can be associated with hub sites and the hub sites can then be used to expose part or all of the information on the sites. Searches on the hub site can crawl all of the associated sites, you can also use hub sites to control the look and feel of all the associated sites. plus overall navigation. You might be thinking, well yeah, that sounds nice, but I can do that with sub sites, well that's true, but hub sites have some additional advantages. You have better feature control. In the past, if you needed a particular site feature enabled on a sub site, you had to enable it for the entire collection.
