- [Instructor] It's time to get to work. Let's create a site collection in the modern experience. And here what we want to do is click "Active sites" and this will show us all of the existing sites and collections or the tenant. By the way it does not show sub sites. So we'll go ahead and click "create" and from here we can easily create a new team or communication site. Now let's see what we get if we click Teams. Now there's very little information needed to create new site collections. Start by specifying the team name. And when you do, SharePoint will check and make sure that that name has not yet been used and let's you it's available. It's a good idea to use an easy to understand name. This will make it much simpler for people to find your site. The site email address is based on the name selected. You have an option to change it, if necessary. Just click the "Edit" button.
