- [Instructor] As I mentioned before, there are times when you may want to create a SharePoint classic style site collection. Now, this maybe because your organization hasn't adapted the modern experience or because you want some of the default functionality from the older's collections. Whatever the case, it's nice to know that this is still possible, although I have to point out again that there are no guarantees Microsoft may decide to turn this off at any time so be prepared. Now, the simplest way to do this is to start by clicking Classic features in the left navigation. And on the Classic features page, click More classic features and then scroll down and here at Classic site collections page go ahead and click Open on that. Now, this is what Site Collections look like in the older experience. Click the New icon and select new Private Site Collection and this will open up a new site collection dialog.
