- [Instructor] There are some surprising things that Microsoft has not fully transitioned into the modern experience. Task lists are one of those. Now in the classic experience, task lists have historically been a good way to track operational or project tasks, as long as the structure wasn't too complicated. It's pretty fully featured. It comes with a timeline prebuilt on the All Items view, and there are a bunch of other views available too, including a Gantt chart, and a calendar, plus the list is customizable. You can go in and add custom columns as needed, just like any other list. Now, when you add the task list in a modern experience site, you still get a classic experience list. Now you can change that to the modern experience by going into List Settings, and going to Advanced Settings, and scrolling down and saying I want this in the new experience.
