Caveats for SharePoint admins

- [Instructor] There are a few things that I'd like to bring up before we move ahead with our admin tasks. I've actually got some caveats about what we'll be working on. First of all, I'm going to generally ignore InfoPath. The biggest reason for this is that InfoPath is going away. Older versions of InfoPath will be out of support in 2020. Microsoft has said that InfoPath will be, I quote, "Supported until further notice." As a replacement, they're pushing Flow, PowerApps, and Forms. And there are also a number of third-party replacements which work very effectively. My second caveat, as I mentioned, we will not talk about every single admin setting, especially the classic ones. Some of the controls available are a little arcane, and some are no longer relevant with modern sites. I'm going to spend this course discussing the most important areas of control, but some things you'll need to wait for the more advanced-level course.
