- [Voiceover] Another unique feature of Windows Server 2012 is the way it handles pointer records, and the reverse zone in particular. And this isn't a super-complicated thing, but it is definitely worth calling out because it's very different from what I've talked about regarding BIND, on pfSense, and what we will talk about in OS 10 server and how all of this stuff works. Windows is a pretty neat thing. So the PTR zone, the reverse zone, as we call it, in the Windows UI as you'll see shortly, is going to be created automaticallly just like the forward zone is created automatically during your DNS Manager, DNS server setup, it asks you a whole bunch of questions and that wizard just goes ahead and sets things up for you. Which is very much unlike the UNIX variants that we've talked about.
