- [Instructor] The basic structure of Just Enough Administration is this: a user logs into their workstation with their own Active Directory account, then they use PowerShell remoting to connect to an endpoint, the server to be managed. The endpoint has two files, a session configuration file and a role capability file. The session configuration file defines who will be granted administrative access to that specific target server. This can be a user or a group. The second file, the role capability file, is where the user's granular access is defined, and that's the view of JEA from 10,000 feet. The design looks pretty straightforward, and it is. There are some important best practices in implementing JEA that will help make sure that you're getting the intended benefits of limited access and simplified management.
