Using markers
- [Instructor] Let's talk about one of the hidden gems of ScreenFlow and that's markers. Now if you're following along, I'm in the markers project. On the surface, markers act like tiny notes to yourself that are attached to either the timeline or to a clip and they're invaluable during editing to mark and align specific actions in clips. Now to add a timeline marker, move your play head to a location where you wanna add a marker. Then go up to the Mark menu, down to Markers, and select Add or press the grave key which is usually the key to the left of the number one on an American keyboard. It looks like a left single quote. When a marker is added, a heads up display appears allowing you to name the marker. I'll enter intro slide to remind me to add one later. Then click Create. You can then jump your play head down to where you see this flat line in the audio file. That indicates a pause in the dialogue which is a pretty good visual cue for a mistake or a possible edit.
