Recording a voice-over pickup

- [Instructor] At some point, you're going to run into a situation where you just can't clean up the audio any more, and you'll need to record a voiceover pickup. If you're following along, I'm in the narration project where the sound of a truck driving by can be heard over the top of this section of audio. Plug in a good set of headphones and play back this section of the clip to hear the truck. Now the best option for fixing this short section is to record a quick audio only pickup or voiceover for this section of dialogue. Back your scrubber up to just before the audio that you need to replace. Now it's a good idea to quickly write down the text that you need to record, so you're sure to capture exactly what you need. When you script this out, be sure to script out to the end of a complete thought or phrase so that the pickup that you record sounds more natural, then listen to the clip that you need to record a few more times and try to firmly set the tone and timing for the…
