Audio editing basics

- [Instructor] Throughout this chapter, we focused our editing efforts primarily on the mechanics and the visual aspects of editing, but as George Lucas once said, sound is half the picture. Now, if you're following along, I'm in the audio project, and for this movie, I'd suggest finding a quiet spot and plugging in a good pair of headphones so you can really hear these editing techniques. Now, begin by making sure that your audio waveform is visible on your tracks by clicking on the track info icon down here in the lower right, then make sure that this option is checked. I'd also suggest using the track thumbnail option so you can always see the entire waveform at the very beginning of every clip. Next, memorize the keyboard commands for zooming your timeline, using Control + T to zoom the timeline to fit your screen, equals to zoom in on the timeline, and minus to zoom out, as well as using the left and right arrow keys to nudge your playhead one frame at a time.
