What's new in Scratch 3.0?
- [Instructor] Scratch as defined by its creator Mitch Resnik is a tool that expands creative possibilities of programming projects, passion, pure and play serve as a mission statement for Scratch 3.0. As if to prove their point that Scratch is a programming environment producing real code, the Scratch developers have changed their tab that used to labeled as Script in Scratch 1.4 and Scratch 2.0 to now say Code. The first thing that you will see is the difference in the layout of Scratch 3.0. The coding panel is now in the center, and the output is in the right most. The coding palettes are here to the left-hand side and notice how you can scroll through the blocks in other categories. The colors are bigger and brighter, which helps identify what type of functionality they provide. In Scratch 3.0, there is an entire section called Extensions.
