Setting up a project

- [Instructor] To set up our projects, we go to the manage page and choose projects. Here we get a list of the current projects. Now on this web user interface, we're not able to see and make all the settings that we can directly from the scanner, so we're going to take a look at a PDF manual to explain that. Our first option is the project name. In this case, we're seeing floor one. This is useful because we have a parent project that's called office building and then we can further separate the scans on floor one, floor two, and floor three by having them in a secondary project. If we like, we can store the customers name along with our project, and it's important to set up your file base name so that you can track your scans. You choose an initial scan number, the default is zero, and we also have additional info which is your latitude and longitude for a rough project location.
