Manually marking objects

- FARO SCENE does a great job of marking things like checkerboards and spheres. We also have the option to manually mark points, lines, or planes. So let's look at marking a plane. On the explore tab, we'll go to the drop down box here, and choose: Mark Plane. Giving a single point, it will then calculate a best-fit plane. We'll notice here, under the structure window, that we have a plane. The green light here says that it was figured accurately. You may notice at times that a plane doesn't show in your view, and you may need to zoom in or out to activate that. So there's our plane. And, let's measure now from that plane to this checkerboard point over here. We'll go back to measure objects, we'll choose the plane, and then we'll zoom in over here, choose checkerboard 10. And zooming back out, you'll see we have a measurement calculated from that point, perpendicular to this plane at 19.313 feet.
