- [Instructor] Here are some considerations when performing indoor scanning. The smaller the areas the faster your scans will be, because they'll be at a lower resolution. The more rooms you have, the more scans you'll have to take, which will affect your overall time you spend in the field, and in processing time in the office. Lower lighting means it will take longer to make the photographs. So this will again affect your overall time spent in the field. Interruptions will always occur while scanning. People may walk by, or some other type of obstruction. Generally, this won't affect the quality of your data, but if they cover any targets or any area of interest, then you won't have measurements in those places. With outdoor scanning, we're in larger areas, so we'll have slower, more high resolution scans. We will likely have uneven lighting so we may need to employ HDR photography, which would also take longer than standard photography. There may be safety concerns with traffic if…
