Enable WiFi control
- [Instructor] It may be useful for you to set up a WiFi remote control for the scanner. If the scanner's placed on a telescoping tripod or in a hard to reach place, this will be the easiest way to still have control over the scanner. The first step is to go to the manage page, general settings, and enable WLAN. Next, we'll connect our mobile device, this could be a laptop, a tablet, or phone, anything that has a WiFi connection, and connect that to the scanner. The WiFi network name will equal the scanner's serial number, usually starting with an LLS code. Third, you'll connect an internet browser to 192.168.111.2, and then we'll have to add the port in, so we'll ad :8400/ui. Now these numbers may differ, so make sure you're looking on your scanner to see that they correspond. Lastly, if you're having difficulties connecting, make sure you don't have a firewall blocking those ports and that you're using the preferred browser, Chrome.
