Applying a Sapphire transition and browsing presets

- [Instructor] While Premiere Pro ships with some transitions that you see here, such as a few that are available from the dissolve category, and that you can use on your clip. It's never too bad to have too many transitions at hand. In fact, it's just something that you need in your workflow. Sometimes having great transitions can spark and add life to your work. That's where Sapphire's transitions come in handy. So if I go to my video transitions category, and just to let you know I'm in my chapter 2-1 sequence, you can find this in your project panel under the exercise files and bring up that project panel by pressing shift one. I want to head over to my Sapphire transitions category. You can see all of the various transitions that are available here, from Sapphire. Let's add a transition, I'm just going to select a S film roll, and apply it to the edit point of the two clips here in the project. And once I do, a one second transition gets added, and you can see this lovely film roll has now been applied between my two clips. Like Sapphire effects, if I select the film roll transition, and then press shift five, it's going to load the transition inside the effect controls. And one thing I can do just like effects is load a preset under the all category, notice there are quite a few different film roll transitions such as flicker and shake that I could use. By simply selecting it, and then loading it, I get loaded inside of Premiere Pro, and then that is what's going to be applied to the clip. So this might not be the one that I want to essentially use for this particular project, so let me just select that transition and delete it. I'm actually going to go here to the S Swish 3D, and I'll just apply it to the edit point. I could have applied it over top. You can see here that transition does a swish pan between the two different clips. If I select the transition itself and then just load a preset, that's just going to load it inside, and you can see sort of the transition that takes place between the images, in fact, this one in particular could add a little bit of chroma separation between my clips to create some really unique transitional looks for your video projects. Let me just load that into Premiere Pro and just show you how easily that was to apply to my clip. Like S effects again, there is one kind of transition that rules them all. Now it's not available under the Sapphire transitions category, under your video transitions available under Sapphire Builder. What we're looking for is S transition. Just going to apply that over the swish pan, or swish 3D, and here the S transition with it selected, if I choose to load a preset, not only do I get access to the S transition, but every single transition here within the library. Every transition preset. And if I go to a category like dissolve glow, and just start to playback, we can see the transition between my incoming and outgoing clip. If I select another one, such as Hell on Earth, you can see here the transition between those two assets, and if I choose to load that into Premiere Pro, it gets applied. Now, even better, just with S transition. If I select that again and load a preset, besides the transition tab that we just saw, we've got Builder effects, specifically Builder effects for transitions, and these are just multiple transitions that have been applied together to give you some sort of end result. Sometimes it might be like a glow and a blur combined, or a camera shake and a film movement combined to give you some interesting looks. I recommend that you looks through the various results that are available to give you these end results. Last but not least, keep in mind that anything that's new to this particular version of Sapphire, you can search under the category here, simply select the new transition and then load it into Premiere Pro. So, overall, Sapphire transitions and browsing presets is extremely easy and we have so many options available there within our Sapphire transition category.
