- [Christine] What is Salesforce Einstein? This is a question I get from so many people who have heard Einstein being talked about and heard things about Salesforce, and they have tons of questions, so let's start talking about Einstein. But first, let's back up a second and talk a little bit about Salesforce, just in case you're not familiar. So, Salesforce is the leading CRM, or customer relationship management tool. So, what that means is it really started out as this great platform for salespeople to keep track of all of their accounts and their leads and their opportunities and all of the financial information related to that, and it helped them do things like follow up and create projections for their team, which was great.
Now, Salesforce also was the first company to do this and make it 100% cloud-based. Today, so many of our applications are cloud-based, but at the time, when Salesforce started, this was really revolutionary. Now, today Salesforce has expanded quite a bit. In fact, if you live in San Francisco, you'll see a gigantic Salesforce tower downtown, which is now the biggest tower in downtown San Francisco. Now, Salesforce has down this by acquiring multiple different companies in many different areas.
So, this is an example of Salesforce Sales Cloud, which is their flagship product, their CRM, and you'll see here, there's information about opportunities closing this month, what different stages they're in, and what kind of financial opportunities are related to those. This is an example of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, which is a great tool for marketing automation. You can see here, there's an example of a marketing campaign that has several different triggers and is being created. Salesforce Marketing Cloud was really started when Salesforce did the acquisition of Exact Target, which is a very sophisticated email marketing tool.
We can also see some information about Salesforce Community Cloud. Now, Community Cloud is great if you want to build an entire community around a brand or specific products, and Salesforce really powers that for so many different companies. Now, if you're really interested in learning that, you can check out some of my classes on LinkedIn. If you're interested in checking out these classes, you can really see all of my classes that are on Salesforce right here and you'll see there are classes about customer service, about Salesforce Lightning, about social selling.
I have quite a few different products on all things and all the different clouds in Salesforce. So, what is Einstein? Think of Einstein as your personal data scientist. It infuses advanced advanced AI, or artificial intelligence, capabilities into your apps so everyone can deliver more personalized and predictive customer experiences. So, that sounds great, right? But let's talk about some very specific examples. In Salesforce Sales Cloud, Einstein does things like Lead Scoring.
So, it uses AI to help you prioritize the leads with the highest value, and that's really valuable, right? Because if you're a salesperson and you have tons of different leads to follow up with, if you can just get a little bit of insight into what lead is the most important to follow up with today, that can make a huge difference in your sales performance and in just your day-to-day activities. In Salesforce Marketing Cloud, there are Einstein Social Insights. So, you can gain deeper insight into your customers by analyzing social conversations. So, you can hear if there's competitors being talking about or if there's acquisitions going on in your marketplace.
And then in Community Cloud, we have things like Einstein Recommendations. You can serve up the most relevant and tailored content to every community member. So, that might mean if someone is really interested in a specific sport, let's just say football for example. They're gonna show them customized content related to that specific sport as opposed to someone else who might have an interest in, say, baseball. So, how is Salesforce AI different? Now, this is a great question because there are a lot of artificial intelligence platforms out there.
First of all, Salesforce Einstein is built on Salesforce data, so there's no need to create a different platform or to analyze this or hire a data scientist, everything is right into the platform. Now, because it's built into the platform, that makes your life a lot easier. Everything's already there and everything's built upon your data. And it just makes your data management easier. Like I said, this is, as Salesforce really says, this replaces you hiring your own data scientist. Now you can use Salesforce's information and their data and their technology to use against your data.
And now, this is available as an add-on feature in all Salesforce clouds, so Marketing Cloud, Community Cloud, Commerce Cloud. All of those, there's Salesforce Einstein intelligence across every single cloud in Salesforce. So, that's a quick overview of Salesforce Einstein and some just quick examples of what's available.
