- [Instructor] Okay, now we're going to cover lead management and automation. And so first of all, if you go to the Leads tab you see a list of all your open leads by default and these are fake lead records that are in your Salesforce instance, these are not real working leads that I'm currently with. But the idea behind lead records are these are people that you need to followup with to do potential business with. And so before an opportunity is created in Salesforce it's proceeded by a lead record. And these leads can be introduced in the system any number of ways. They can be manually entered, it could be through a form on a website. It's from this Leads tab that you have your different list views available where you can see what leads you need to be working. And so for lead management and automation there's a lot of different pieces that go into play from an administrative standpoint and these options are covered on the Administrator exam.
