How to set up a product
- [Instructor] Let's get started in creating a new product that we can later put into a price book. I can navigate to the Product tab from the main navigation bar in Salesforce. And you'll see I see price books, product views, asset views, and recent products. I'm going to select New. And you'll see I have a few different options here. So product name should be something that's easy to recognize from your sales people. I'm going to select sunglasses. Product code could be an inventory ID that you have that's a place to put some technical number. This is the Active button and this can be very helpful if an item becomes discontinued, or is out of stock. I'm going to select Active. And this is product family, so product family can be used and can be customized in the set up area. And that can be used for international items, for example. Or if you're a company that sells to government or non-profit, you can create different product families. You can put a product description in here. And…
