- [Instructor] We've talked about accounts, opportunities,…contacts, and leads.…But how do they all relate?…In this video, we're going to talk about…various Salesforce objects…and how they all work together.…So objects in Salesforce are things like…the lead.…The account,…the opportunity, or the contact.…So a more simple way to look at this…is that the account is the company.…The opportunity is the product or service…that you are selling.…And the contact is the person that you are dealing with.…And the lead is simply an opportunity…that has not yet been qualified.…
Once it has been qualified,…it converts directly into an opportunity.…So let's give an example of this.…Let's say our lead is Athena Homecare Products.…And we've talked to them for awhile…and we've qualified them.…So we know that they're actually interested…in our products and services.…So Athena is the company.…The product or service that we're selling to them…I've named Athena Summer 2017.…And the person we're dealing with…is named Kristen Akin.…So now let's look at this in Salesforce.…
