- [Instructor] One of the biggest challenges with Salesforce is keeping all of the data clean and actionable. Salesforce can get very messy at companies where there are not clear rules or standards in place and one of the most obvious areas is naming conventions. So what are naming conventions? Well, let's say for example you work with a large company that has multiple brands that all purchase separately. Microsoft is a great example of this. They have their Microsoft Office products. They have Windows, Xbox, and several other divisions. You or the execs at your company may want to be able to quickly search Microsoft as a whole and then also look at the individual brands. So in this case, you would want to use a similar naming convention for all of the Microsoft brands, so for example Microsoft_Office or Microsoft_Xbox. And you would also want these kinds of naming conventions for regional offices, franchises, or international branches of companies that you work with. So let's for…
