Avoid over-automation in Salesforce

- [Instructor] Do you ever feel guilty about not using all that Salesforce has to offer? This is a big mistake I see a lot of Salesforce users fall into. You make a big investment in your company to use Salesforce and because of that you want to use every available feature and automate every process. Salesforce is highly customizable and can do just about anything if you have the time and resources. But beware of overautomating tasks in Salesforce. Since these tasks often involve integrating other systems, you run the risk of breaking your entire workflow if one of the systems gets updated or makes a big change. Unless you have unlimited hours available from your Salesforce admins, and let's face it, most of us don't, don't overdo it with automation. Some tasks take a limited amount of time and are fine to schedule or process manually. One example I can think of are reports.
