Discover how to access LinkedIn Sales Navigator from multiple locations and navigate around the Sales Navigator interface. Learn about key features that will be important to you as you prospect.
- [Instructor] There's a lot of information that you can pull out of Sales Navigator if you know where to look. Let's dive into the Sales Navigator interface, so you feel comfortable with all the features available to you. When you log in, you will start on this homepage. The main focus here is the newsfeed running down the center. Much like your newsfeed on LinkedIn.com, your Sales Navigator newsfeed contains news items and updates that you can scroll through.
But unlike LinkedIn.com, the updates within your Sales Navigator newsfeed are related only to the accounts or leads that you've saved. This allows you to focus on the information that is the most important to you and to your business. If you don't have any leads or accounts saved yet, don't worry, but your newsfeed will be empty. I've already saved a few leads and accounts so that we have something to look at. So let's start from the left.
This is where you can filter your updates. The default will be Most Important, but you can also filter by Most Recent if you want to look for things that were timely. Below, you can start to filter by types. So Sales Alerts give you updates on things that are happening to your accounts, people who've changed jobs, as well as any suggested leads, so new ways for you to get your foot in the door. Below, we've got Lead News and Shares, as well as Account News and Shares. Remembering that our leads are our people and our accounts are the organizations we're following.
So this is a great way to be able to get updates on things that are happening with the people and the organizations that we're following. Top Accounts is going to refer to the accounts that I have looked at as well as saved. So this is Sales Navigator telling me that there's new information available on these accounts, so I can always keep top of mind and make sure that I'm reaching out in real time. Let's take a look at what's on the right-side of the newsfeed.
So here, I have the ability to share an update. This is where I can really present myself as a thought leader on LinkedIn and show prospective customers as well as my existing clients why I would be such a great partner to work with. Below, I have my Social Selling Index. So this is a way for me to measure how I'm doing when it comes to social engagement on LinkedIn as well as within Sales Navigator.
Who's Viewed My Profile is going to be important, because this is going to tell me how many people have looked at my profile and it's a good way for me to return the favor and potentially start some conversations. Under that, we've got Recently Viewed, so great way for me to be able to recall some of those profiles that I've just looked at. I find it really helpful sometimes if you've got some technical difficulties. You can always take a look at those that you've recently viewed and not have to struggle to remember the names of the people that you've just looked at.
Let's look at the top of our Sales Navigator homepage. So we've got our search bar, so we can run some searches there either using keywords or Boolean. We're going to dive more deeply into that in a subsequent video. Above that, we've got Home, so I can always go home no matter which page I'm on within Sales Navigator by clicking here. My Lists show people within my existing network, so my first-degree connections as well as my list of saved leads and saved accounts.
So great ways for me to understand what's happening with those organizations and those people that I've saved and I'm always making sure that I'm keeping up-to-date. Then, I have Discover. So recommended leads and accounts, that information is going to be based on my activity as well as on those sales preferences that we had set. This is Sales Navigator helping me to work smarter and not harder by providing me with leads without me having to do any additional work.
And then, speaking of sales preferences, if at any point, I need to make any adjustments, whether to my territory or perhaps even to the seniority of people that I'm working with, this is the tab where I would go to do that. Looking to the right, I've got my inboxes, so my Sales Navigator Inbox shows me messages and inMails that have been sent directly through Sales Navigator as well as my LinkedIn Inbox. So this is again tying together my LinkedIn.com profile as well as my Sales Navigator presence and making sure that I have access to everything that I need in one place.
Beside, I've got my profile picture. I've got information pertaining to accounts and settings, and just giving me information that's really good as far as we get some of that official information. And then, in the bottom half, I've got things that can help me get better. So the Learning Center is a great place for me to get some information on Sales Navigator, whether it is a tip sheet, I could sign up for a live webinar, lots of options as far as me continuing to improve my proficiency.
And then, below that is the Help Center. This will be your place to go if you have any technical issues when it comes to Sales Navigator. Below that, I can also sign out when I'm finished for the day. Final things we want to look at here on the homepage is going to be PointDrive as well as viewing more LinkedIn products. So some options as far as being able to continue the work that I'm doing when it comes to engaging with my prospects and my customers.
And we're going to dive more into PointDrive in a video to follow. So now you know what you can find on the Sales Navigator interface. And as I told you, it's a lot. The goal of the newsfeed is really to provide you with insight into the accounts and leads that matter to you in one easily sortable location. So start thinking about how you can begin to use the information here to engage better with your prospects and learn more about the accounts that matter to you.
