SVG as graphics

- [Instructor] SVG as a graphics format in the true sense of the term. You can create and edit SVGs in most vector based graphics applications including Sketch and Adobe Illustrator, and SVGs are typically saved as individual graphics files, you can open and view using various applications on your computer including graphics applications and web browsers. SVGs are also not limited to web use, I've seen SVGs used in everything from printing to 3D rendering and beyond. It's an open format and you can use it for whatever you like. The best way to make sense of SVGs is to see them in action, so over the next couple of movies, we'll first create an SVG in Adobe Illustrator, then take a look at the back end of the SVG in a code editor, and finally, view the SVG in a browser. To start off, let's put together a simple SVG.
