- [Instructor] Google Cloud Platform, or GCP, is similar to Amazon Web Services in that it's a dominant suite of cloud computing services with over 100 products. The third major player, Microsoft Azure, we won't be covering in this course, although it was referenced a few times. GCP is the youngest out of these three and considered pricier, but obviously with the Google brand name and reputation for modern innovation, it's still a strong competitor compared to the other two. We'll be looking specifically at Google BigQuery which uses ANSI SQL. If you recall from the first video, ANSI stands for the American National Standards Institute, which sets the SQL standard. They also have Cloud SQL, which provides services from MySQL, Postgres, and other relational databases we have gone over.
