What is Mobile Report Publisher?
- All of the reports that we've built so far have been examples of paginated reports. These reports are viewable from within the Report Server Web Portal or you can export them to a wide variety of file formats or print them out. But Reporting Services also supports an entirely different report format called a Mobile Report. So what is a Mobile Report? Mobile Reports are optimized for visualizing and interacting with data using a touch interface on cell phones and tablets. This allows users to get access to actionable, on-premises SQL Server data while on the go. Mobile Reports use a gridded layout surface you can attach visualization elements to and then resize and rearrange them into a dashboard-like view of your information. There are over two dozen different elements to choose from organized into a gallery that includes grids, gauges, charts, maps, and navigators.
