View, print, and export a report - SQL Server Tutorial
From the course: SQL Server: Reporting Services
View, print, and export a report
- [Instructor] The Report Services Web Portal makes it really easy to export or print your reports. First your going to click on the report you want to work with from the main page. I'll click on the Purchase Orders report. Then on the tool bar you're going to find the disk icon and expand the menu. This will give you access to export the report in a number of different file formats. We can export it into a Word document or an Excel spreadsheet, or a PowerPoint presentation. We can also export a PDF or an image in the TIFF file format. A Comma Separated Value, CSV file, XML files, and a couple of others. So we can see that there's a bunch of different options for saving this data in what ever format you might want. I'm going to choose the PDF option. Now depending on how your web browser is configured, it might open up directly in a new tab or if your browser is like mine, it'll open up a blank page for a moment and then download the file once the report server gets done preparing it.…
