Utilizing Data Quality Services in an SSIS data flow

I would like to talk about utilizing data quality services in an SISS data flow. So to demonstrate this, we are going to create a new SISS project. It's an integration services project. I'll accept the default name and default location. In the control flow, I want to drag one data flow element on to the screen. I'll double click on that, and then in the data flow tab, I'll first need a data source, so I'll use the data source assistant. I want a flat file and it will be a new connection. It's asking me what file name I would like to use. It's a CSV file in your exercise files folder. We will use geography. The same one we ran data cleansing against earlier. I'll look at the columns. All of that seems good. Click OK. The output of that flat file, I would like to cleanse, using data quality services. And if I scroll down in my toolbox, under Other Transformations, I have an option for DQS Cleansing. I'll drag that onto the screen. And I'll take the output of the Flat File Source and…
