Sort records in a table

You might have noticed that the reports that I've built so far have all displayed records in a seemingly random order. Here in the Sales Summary report, my month values are all scrambled up. And if I had pressed the back button to go back to the report where we need to select the year, these year values are out of sequence as well. The order that the records or the report display in is dictated by the index as in storage of the data back in the original database unless we specify otherwise in the design of the report. Because our data set queries don't include an order by clause when we're pulling the data out, we need to tell the table objects how we want the records sorted. To fix up these reports we need to first open them up in Report Builder. Let's start with the Year Report. Then I'm going to select the table and press the button here in the upper left hand corner or press the Escape key on your keyboard to switch over to the Tablets Properties.
