SQL Server Data Quality Services (DQS)
- [Instructor] Data Quality Services is an add-on for SQL Server, that will help you build customized knowledge bases for correcting, standardizing, and de-duplicating your data. It's particularly useful when you're moving data from a number of source databases, each with their own peculiarities, and consolidating it all into a single, consistent data warehouse. To get started, you first need to install the components. You do that either during the initial SQL Server set up process, or you can add it after the fact by returning to set up, and adding it to your existing installation. I didn't include the necessary components when I installed SQL Server, so I'm going to add them now. To do that, you'll come down here to the start menu, and inside of the folder for Microsoft SQL Server, you should find a link for the SQL Server Installation Center.
