Review the SQL Server error log
- [Instructor] SQL Server maintains an error log of issues that it's encountered while running. These logs can help you troubleshoot problems and see other events that the system has flagged. To view these server's logs in the Object Explorer window, you're going to come down and find the management folder. Let's go ahead and expand that and then find the SQL Server logs folder there. And I'll expand that as well. Inside are the individual log files that have been saved. One of them will be current, and then you'll see a number of archive logs. To view their contents right-click on the SQL Server logs folder, point to view and then choose SQL Server log. That'll open up the log file viewer. On the left you can activate and deactivate any of the log files that you want to review. And then on the main portion of the screen are all the individual log items that these logs contain.
