Make a dynamic report title
- [Instructor] When we create a parameter, all we're doing is adding a variable to the report definition. Then, we've used that variable to populate a where clause in a query to dynamically alter the records presented in the table. But that's not the only way that we can use the variable. I want to alter this report to add the parameter that the user chooses right into the title that appears at the top of the report. To do this, I'll switch back into design view and then we'll open up the Parameters folder. The only thing that I need to know is the name of the parameter that I want to use; it's ColorName. Then I'll click and select the title text here. To use the parameter, I'll type in an open square bracket, the at symbol, and the name of the parameter. Then I'll close the square bracket. In fact, I'm going to create a title that adds static text to the dynamic variable text. I'll type in @ColorName, and then after that, Products. Now the title will read Yellow Products, or Red…
