- So, now we go through and here we pick the Authentication Mode. Because I am a dinosaur and have been doing this forever, I always pick Mixed Mode. Probably because I want a back door into the system so I always pick Mixed Mode though you surely do not have to. And then, if I pick Mixed Mode, I'm going to have to give it a password. I always, in any of this demo stuff for courses that we're doing, use a default password of capital P a s s w 0 r d. Of course, in the real world, I would come up with something bizarro and not use that. So now, there in Specify SQL Server administrators, I'm going to Add the Current User, which is Administrator. Clever. And otherwise I could click Add and down here, I can go to Advanced. Now, I happen to be on an Active Directory, so I could go through there and I could look in Active Directory and pick any of these users that I want. And we're not going to do that.
