Installing Data Quality Services

In this section, I'd like to talk about installing Data Quality Services. The Data Quality Services infrastructure involves two parts, a client and a server. In order to install the server, you'll need SQL Server 2012 Enterprise Edition or Business Intelligence Edition. Data Quality Services doesn't run with earlier versions of SQL Server, and it doesn't run on the Standard or Web Edition, it's only Enterprise Edition and Business Intelligence Edition. The client can be installed on just about any PC. It requires Internet Explorer 6.0 or later. Optionally, if you want to integrate the client with Excel, you'll need to be running Excel 2003 or later. Now, let's do a demonstration of installing the server. When I installed Microsoft SQL Derver, I checked the option for installing Data Quality Server. This didn't actually finalize the installation.
