- [Instructor] For many of the examples in this course I'll be using a sample database from Microsoft. And now I'm going to walk you through the steps of downloading and installing that database. For many years Microsoft used a database called AdventureWorks for their sample data for SQL Server but in SQL Server 2016 they've changed that and Microsoft now uses a database called Wide World Importers. So, if you go to the website for Microsoft.com and you search for Wide World Importers sample database, you'll get a few results and many of these will probably lead you to the same place. I'm going to click on the top one that says a new SQL Server sample database. And this is a blog posting that provides a link to the latest release of the sample, Wide World Importers release, which will take me to GitHub.
