- [Narrator] To get started with Reporting Services we first need to install the Report Server on our computer and then we'll configure a database in a SQL Server instance that the Report Server will use to manage our reports. We'll start the process at the installation documentation page here. This will give us a easy link to the most current version of Reporting Services at the Microsoft download center. At the time of this recording you can see that the most current version is Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Reporting Services. But if I take a look at the detail section you'll see that the last update was actually in February of 2019. All we need to do on this page is select our language from the drop down menu and click on the download button. That'll place a file into our downloads folder that we can use to install Reporting Services. Let's go ahead and run this file. In the installer the only option that we have is to install Reporting Services so go ahead and select that button here.…
