Indicators

- I'm going to keep working on the Cold Room Temperatures report and use it to take a look at another option that we have for graphically representing our data. And that's with an Indicator. Indicators are collections of icons like red, yellow, green traffic lights or the icon that shows your cell phone signal strength. You can use them to indicate whether a value is good, bad, or somewhere in between. Let's take our report back into Design view and I'm going to add another column to the data table just by selecting anywhere on the table, right clicking on the last selection column box, going to Insert Column, and choose Right again. Then I'll deselect the table and go over to the Insert tab of the ribbon and we'll find the Indicator option. Go ahead and click it and your mouse cursor will change to indicate that the next thing you'll add is an indicator to the report, then we'll come up to this empty cell and click to add in the Indicator. That'll bring up the Select Indicator Type…
