- The SQL Server Data Tools, we're going to look at downloading and installing them. If you're used to working with the previous iterations of SQL Server, the Data Tools were one of the shared options that we could select while we're doing the installation. However, that's no longer the case. We've got to download them and then run through an installation routine which can be somewhat confusing. This is what I mean by "Can be somewhat confusing."
