Deploy a sample MDS model
- [Instructor] Master Data Services includes sample models and data that you can deploy to your Master Data Database to better understand the product features and capabilities. The three sample model packages are available in the directory on your C drive, underneath Program Files, Microsoft SQL Server, the 150 folder, then Master Data Services, Samples, Packages and you'll find them right here. We have one for product, one for customer and one for chart of accounts. To deploy the sample data, you're going to use a command line application, which you can find back in the Master Data Services folder, underneath Configuration. The executable is MDSModelDeploy.exe. You can find it right here. Now, this is a command line application, so you're not going to run it from right here. What I need to do is open up the Command Prompt tool.
