- [Instructor] If you currently have a data warehouse on an on-premises instance of SQL Server and you'd like to migrate it to the cloud-hosted Azure SQL Data Warehouse then you have a couple of options. The most reliable way is going to involve rebuilding the schema in the Azure database and then move all of your data using a bulk copy or a custom extract transform and load procedure. Depending on the size and complexity of your data warehouse you might be able to use a tool called the Data Warehouse Migration Utility to help you out with some of the work. You can find the tool at the Microsoft download page at this URL. You can see that the tool is currently still in preview, so you'll definitely want to test it out thoroughly in your own environment before relying on it to migrate your own on-premises data warehouse.
