Customize the web portal branding
- [Instructor] The report server web portal can be customized to display your own branding and colors in order to better tie into your company or organization. You can change the site colors and upload a logo that'll appear in the upper left hand corner through the settings menu, and then coming down to site settings. On the left menu, click on branding, and this will allow you to upload a brand package that'll restyle the entire site. So what goes into a brand package? In the chapter eight folder of the exercise files, I've put together an example brand package that we can take a look at. The actual file that we'll upload, the brand package, is nothing more than a standard zip file that contains two or three files. The first file is called the metadata.xml file. Let's open it up in Notepad. This file has a couple of items that you can configure, most importantly is the name. You can name your brand package anything that you'd like.
