- [Instructor] In order to use data quality services to cleanse data, you need to have some information about what is correct and valid. This information is stored in the knowledge base, and individual columns from Your input data source will get mapped to domains in the knowledge base. Knowledge bases can be augmented and updated over time with new rules and additional acceptable values so that they can grow along with your business. In the last movie, we saw how to use the default knowledge base that stored information about valid locations within the United States, but the true potential of data quality services relies on you being able to create new knowledge bases based off of your own business.
