- [Instructor] When I created the report that took a look at the warehouse products by color, I included two tables. One to display yellow products, and one to display red products. The idea being is that if someone was only interested in products of a specific color, they could simply jump to that point in the report and quickly find what they were after. But if you have a large number of categories, then building a report like this, with duplicate tables that simply differ in the filters that are being applied, would be a nightmare to maintain. We can make the experience better by simply asking the user what category they wanted to see, and then dynamically updating the report to show just the request of information. We do this by adding a parameter to a filter. Let's explore the concept of a parameter as filter by making a new report that looks at the warehouse stock again.
