[Narrator] - The open source nature and flexibility of the R language has created a wealth of development tools to choose from. Data scientists might find that they prefer writing their R scripts in an application that was designed from the ground up for R, rather than writing code in a tool that was primarily designed for managing a sequel server database such as Management Studio. It might be better to work inside of a more fully featured R development application that offers proper syntax highlighting, co-completion assistance, dedicating graphical interface, and more. Often scripts will need to be developed on a separate client machine, such as your laptop while sitting in a coffee shop.
