- [Instructor] The SPSS chart builder is a great way to create graphics. You can come in here and do your chart builder. But if you want to do something even a little faster with a little bit more help from the program, then the Graphboard Template Chooser is another really great option that SPSS has made available over the last few years. Let me click on that and you'll see what it brings up is a list of your variables. There we go. Those are all the variables in our dataset. By the way, I'm using the same demo.sav dataset that I've used for the other examples. And what it does, is it looks at the type of the variable. Is it a scale, is it ordinal or is it nominal? And then it recommends appropriate visualizations for that one variable or if you look at collections, pairs or sets of variables. So right now if I'm looking at income, it suggests that I should do a dot plot, or a histogram or maybe a histogram with a normal…
