- [Instructor] We'll finish our discussion of wrangling by looking at how you can select cases by their entire subgroups or based on values or combinations of values. This is one of the best ways of drilling down in your data to identify unusual cases, to see what's happening, and give you ideas on how you can explore your data to get some unexpected insight out of them. To do this, we're going to go to data and to select cases. Now, we have a number of different choices here that perform different functions. Right here we're going to select if a condition is satisfied that means we can pick one or more variables and say if this is true then select the cases. You can also get a random sample of cases and I'll show you how to do that also. If you have a time variable that's important to you let's say for instance you want just quarter one of last year, you can specify that if that's how it's addressed in your data…
